防災を支える国の制度や専門人材、そして民間の取り組みに目を向け、
それぞれがどのような役割を担い、地域防災の現場で機能しているのかを見つめていきます。
防災は、与えられるものではありません。
役割が理解され、人と人、制度と現場がつながることで、少しずつ育っていくものです。
その手がかりを求めて、現場をたずね、声を聞き、しくみをひもといていきます。

Disaster preparedness is not sustained by any single individual.
It is supported by many roles—across government, professional institutions, communities, and the private sector—working together to build safety in society.
Through the Queenworks series Exploring the Systems of Preparedness,
we examine how public systems and privately developed expertise each contribute to disaster preparedness,
and how these roles come together in local communities.
Safety is not something simply provided.
It grows through understanding roles, connecting people, and linking systems with real-world practice.
By visiting these sites and listening to the voices of those involved,
we seek clues for building a more resilient society.
